Mrs. Barbara Sue Madden Little, age 79, of McEwen, TN passed away Monday, April 1, 2024, at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, TN. She was born June 15, 1944, in McEwen, TN to the late Thomas and Laurine Madden.

 

Sue’s passion for arts and crafts, painting, sewing, and gardening shone through in all she did. Whether she was creating beautiful pieces of art or tending to her blooming garden, Sue's artistic talents brought joy to all who beheld them. Beyond her creative pursuits, Sue found immense joy in traveling and embarking on exciting cruises. Her adventurous spirit and love for exploration inspired those around her to embrace new experiences and cherish every moment spent discovering the wonders of the world.

 

However, above all her accomplishments and hobbies, Sue's proudest achievement was undoubtedly her family. As a devoted wife, Sue stood by her husband through thick and thin, embodying the true meaning of partnership and commitment. Together, they created a home filled with laughter, love, and unwavering support. Sue's children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren were the pride and joy of her life. She showered them with love, encouragement, and wisdom, guiding them along life's journey with grace and understanding. Sue cherished her sister, Michelle, dearly and held a special place in her heart for all her nieces and nephews. Her family was her greatest treasure, and she leaves behind beautiful memories that will live on in their hearts forever. Sue also shared deep connections with many lifelong friends whom she held dear to her heart. 

 

Visitation will be held from 4:00 – 8:00pm Friday, April 5th and from 4:00pm until service time Saturday, April 6th at Humphreys County Funeral Home.  

 

Funeral Services for Mrs. Sue will be conducted at 6:00pm Saturday, April 6, 2024, in the Humphreys County Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Chris Thompson and Layne Spencer officiating.

 

Mrs. Sue’s wishes are to be cremated following the services.

   Richard Gene Little of McEwen, TN

 

Sons:

   Stephen Gene Little (Bridget) of Clifford Township, PA

   David Michael Little (Becca) of McEwen, TN

 

Daughter:

   Tiffany Little Large (Andrew) of Friendswood, TX

 

Sister: 

   Michelle Madden Sadler (Kenneth “Beaver”) of Nashville, TN

 

Mother-in-law:

   Roxie Lee Little of Waverly, TN

 

Grandchildren:

   Caitlin St. John (Greg), Thomas Little (Natalie), Sarah Little

   Malachi Thornton, Aubrey Large, Charlie Large and Link Little

 

Great Grandchildren:

   Molly, Declan, Mason and Morgan

 

Preceded in death by:

 

Parents: Thomas Madden and Laurine Fortner Madden

Sister: Sandra Faye “Shorty” Madden Spencer

Granddaughter: Leslie Sue Large
