Dennis Spann

Dennis Leon Spann, 74, of Whites Creek, TN, passed away October 22, 2026, at Alive Hospice-Nashville.

Dennis was born December 20, 1951, in Dickson, TN, to the late Leon Spann and Mary Katherine Connell. He earned his Bachelor's Degree and went on to build a dedicated career as a Facilities Manager at Vanderbilt, where his steady work ethic and commitment to his profession were well known among those who worked alongside him. He was honored as Vanderbilt's Commodore of the Year, a recognition that reflected the pride he took in his work and the respect he earned throughout his career.

Outside of his professional life, Dennis found joy in the simple things that brought him peace. He had a deep love for Florida and the beach, often finding comfort in the sun and sea. He was devoted to his animals, who brought companionship and warmth into his everyday life. Those who knew Dennis would say he was a man who gave his all to the things and people he loved, carrying that same devotion into his relationships with family and friends.

Dennis will be remembered fondly by all who had the privilege of knowing him, for his dedication, his quiet affection for those around him, and the gentle joys that defined his life.
