If the death occurs at home
If your loved one passes away at home and was not under hospice care, you should call 911. Local emergency personnel and the appropriate officials will come to the home and assist. After they have completed their responsibilities, the funeral home you choose will be contacted to bring your loved one into our care.
If the individual was under hospice care, you should call the hospice nurse first. The nurse will come to the residence, make the official pronouncement, and then your chosen funeral home will be contacted for transportation.

If the death occurs at a hospital or nursing facility
