Johnny "Jackie" Eugene Story

Mr. Johnny "Jackie" Eugene Story, age 73, of Charlotte, TN, passed away Saturday, October 24, 2026, at TriStar Horizon Medical Center in Dickson, TN.

Jackie was born April 28, 1953, in Dickson, TN, to the late James Story and Betty Jo Freudenthal. He spent his life rooted in the Dickson County community, working hard throughout his career in paving and road maintenance. His was a life built on honest labor and a love for the land, and he found great contentment in working outdoors.

Jackie was a man who truly loved the simple things in life. He was an avid outdoorsman, spending countless hours hunting turkey and deer, and he equally enjoyed days spent fishing. He took great pride in farming hay, finding satisfaction in the work of his hands and the rhythm of the seasons. At home, he was always joined by his beloved dog, Buddy, a faithful companion who was by his side through many quiet days.

Above all else, Jackie cherished his family. He loved each and every one of them deeply, holding a special place in his heart for his daughter and grandson, who brought him immense joy and pride.
