Mr. Charles “Chuck” McGuigan, age 91
Of McEwen, TN passed away Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at Tennessee State Veterans Home in Clarksville, TN. He was born April 20, 1934, in Geneva, New York to Gordon and Arlene McGuigan.
A proud Army Veteran, Chuck honorably served his country during the Korean War. His service and sacrifices did not go unnoticed, as he was an active member of the American Legion Post #34 in Waverly. There, he connected with fellow veterans, fostering friendships that celebrated their shared experiences and dedication to the nation. Following his time in the service, he worked as a Correctional Officer at the Turney Center, where he was known for his integrity and dedication.
In addition to his professional and military endeavors, Chuck had a passion for working with his hands. He found joy in tinkering with lawn mowers and garden tillers, embracing the simple pleasures of home improvement and gardening.
As we remember Chuck, we celebrate a life well-lived, characterized by service, integrity, and a genuine spirit. His memory will continue to resonate with those who had the privilege of knowing him.
Mr. McGuigan’s wishes were to be cremated. A graveside service will be held at a later date in Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery.
