Lisa “Sugar” Sensing, age 62, passed away on January 12, 2026, after a life devoted to family, service, and quiet kindness. She was born on May 22, 1963.
Lisa’s greatest joy was her family. She shared 43 loving years of marriage with her husband, Garry Sensing, building a life rooted in commitment, support, and deep love. She was a proud and devoted mother to her children, Ryan and Autumn, whom she loved unconditionally.
Above all, Lisa cherished her role as a grandmother. Her grandchildren were the light of her life, and she made it a priority to be present for them in every way possible. Whether cheering from the stands at baseball and softball games or simply offering encouragement and love, Lisa never missed an opportunity to support them and let them know how deeply they were loved.
Lisa found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved spending time at the beach, where she found peace by the water, and took great pride in tending to her flower garden, enjoying the beauty she helped create and nurture.
She also valued her work and found special fulfillment during her time at Creek Wood High School and Jobs for Tennessee Graduates, where she loved being around the students and helping them in any way she could. Her caring nature and genuine kindness left a lasting impression on those she worked with and the many young lives she touched.
Lisa will be remembered for her steady presence, her generous heart, and the love she so freely gave to her family and community. Her legacy lives on through the family she adored and the countless lives made better by knowing her.
