Dennis Wayne Fortner

Mr. Dennis Wayne Fortner, age 67, of Waverly, Tennessee, passed away Friday, April 4, 2025, at Alive Hospice, in Nashville, Tennessee. Mr. Fortner was born September 18, 1957, in Bruceton, Tennessee, to Rexie Wayne and Kathryn Ione Hollingsworth Fortner. He was married to Patricia Lynne Bates Fortner. He was a veteran and retired Sergeant from the Tennessee National Guard having served for 27 years. Dennis dearly loved the Lord first, then family and friends. He attended Waverly Church of the Nazarene. He was a Superhero fanatic! He loved taking care of everyone, working, and mowing yards. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

A Public Graveside Service and interment will be held at 4:00 p.m., Monday, April 7, 2025, at Ebenezer Cemetery, 8863 Old State Route 1, New Johnsonville, TN. Pastor Daron Brown will be officiating the service.

A Public Celebration of Life Service will follow at 6:00 p.m., at Waverly Church of the Nazarene, 693 Airport Road, Waverly, TN.
