MSG William Coe Swann, III, US Army Retired, born on September 14, 1955 in St. Louis, MO, was a man of exceptional resilience and dedication. As a beloved husband, esteemed colleague, treasured friend, and decorated military veteran, his life was a testament to the power of his spirit and the strength of his character. His loyalty to those he loved, his dedication to his work, and his unwavering resilience in the face of challenges will continue to inspire all who knew him.

William began his career serving with distinction in the United States Army. Over the course of his 20-year career, he rose to the rank of Master Sergeant, a title that spoke volumes of his dedication and hard work. His military decorations are extensive, including the Army Achievement Medal (Bronze Star), Army Commendation Medal (2nd Award), Army Good Conduct Medal (6th Award), National Defense Service Medal, Noncommissioned Officer's Professional Development Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon (2nd Award), Kuwait Liberation Medal, Air Assault Badge, and the Driver and Mechanic Badge with Mechanic Bar. His service was marked by his unwavering loyalty to his country and his fellow soldiers.

After retiring from the military, William transitioned to the private sector, where he enjoyed a fulfilling career as a Project Coordinator at Arcosa. His love for his work was evident to all who had the pleasure of working with him. William had an innate ability to lead, inspire, and get the job done. His resilient spirit, coupled with his dedication to his profession, made him an invaluable asset to his company and colleagues. 

In the words of George Patton, "It is foolish and wrong to mourn the men who died. Rather, we should thank God that such men lived." William Swann lived a life of service, loyalty, and resilience. Visitation: will begin at 11:00 AM – until time of services on Tuesday, July 23, 2024 at Spann Funeral Home.

Funeral Service: will begin at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, July 23, 2024 from the Chapel of Spann Funeral Home with full military honors being presented.

 Isaiah, Andrew, Jasmine, Bella, Kiara, Ava, and Joshua

3 Great Grandchildren:

 Esabela, Michael, Gabriella

 David
