William Leamon Donegan

William Leamon Donegan, age 80, passed away on July 19, 2026.

Born on November 6, 1945, Leamon lived a life defined by hard work, dedication, and the simple joys that mattered most to him. A skilled mechanic and businessman, he was the owner and operator of Donegan's Repair and Equipment from the mid-1970s, where he built a reputation for honest work and dependable service. For more than 40 years, he proudly served as the local Vermeer equipment dealer, helping countless customers throughout the community. Earlier in his career, Leamon also drove a truck and operated dozers for Ivy Armstrong for a number of years, a reflection of the strong work ethic that remained with him throughout his life.

Leamon had a true passion for tractors, spending countless hours repairing them and keeping them running just right. He especially loved antique tractor pulls and took great pride in helping establish the local antique tractor pulling club in Dickson, sharing that passion with friends and neighbors who enjoyed the hobby alongside him. When he wasn't tinkering with tractors, he could often be found tending to his garden, content in the quiet satisfaction of watching things grow.

Above all, Leamon was a great man who cherished his family deeply. He lit up in the presence of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and the time spent with them brought him some of his greatest joy. He will be remembered for his warmth, his steady hands, his unwavering work ethic, and the love he poured into everything he did and everyone he knew.
