William “Bill” Galloway, Jr., age 88, passed away peacefully on April 16, 2026.
Born on December 4, 1937, Bill lived a full and meaningful life centered around family, service, and a genuine love for people. In his younger years, he found great joy in the outdoors, spending time fishing, hunting, and camping—simple pleasures that brought him peace and lasting memories.
Bill proudly served his country in the United States Army as a medic nurse, a role that reflected his caring nature and willingness to serve others. That same compassion carried into every aspect of his life, as he was known for being a true people person—someone who could strike up a conversation with anyone and make them feel at ease. After his military career, he worked diligently in the trucking industry, transporting various supplies, fresh produce, and household products across the United States.
He shared a particularly close and special bond with his father, a relationship that helped shape the man he became. Bill carried those values of loyalty, hard work, and love for family throughout his life. He was deeply devoted to his own family, cherishing every opportunity to spend time with them and create lasting memories together.
A man who took great pride in his work, Bill was passionate about what he did and approached it with dedication and purpose. When he wasn’t working or spending time with loved ones, he enjoyed relaxing with classic old westerns, a pastime he truly appreciated.
Bill will be remembered for his warm personality, his servant’s heart, and the love he gave so freely to those around him. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, strength, and devotion that will not be forgotten.
