Virginia Ann England

Virginia Ann England, age 79, passed away on August 22, 2026. She was born August 14, 1947, and was a native of Nashville, Tennessee, and a 40-year resident of Dickson.

Virginia was a committed and faithful Jehovah’s Witness whose devotion to her faith was an important part of her life. She was always smiling and was a kind, hardworking woman who cared deeply for others.

For 25 years, Virginia owned and operated a residential cleaning service in Nashville. She took great pride in her work and was known for being dependable, thorough, and honest. Many of her customers remained with her for years, becoming more like friends than clients. In addition to her cleaning business, Virginia worked as a nanny and caregiver, supporting others until she retired.

Above all, Virginia was completely devoted to her husband, Steve, whom she loved dearly. The two were truly inseparable and treasured the life they shared together. They shared everything, including splitting every meal! They especially enjoyed traveling side by side, whether it was a trip to the mountains in Gatlinburg, relaxing at the beach, or setting sail together on a cruise. For Virginia, where they went mattered far less than being together.

Virginia loved talking about her family history and found tremendous joy in finally becoming “Grannie.” Her grandchildren held a particularly special place in her heart, and being their Grannie was a role she was proud of.

Virginia will be remembered for her steadfast faith, her strong work ethic, her savvy frugality, and, most of all, the love she showed to her husband and family throughout their 43-year marriage.

A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
