Thomas Lee Robinson

Thomas Lee Robinson, who is lovingly known as Dad, Pawpaw Goat, brother, friend, and faithful prayer warrior, passed away unexpectedly on June 7, 2026, at the age of 55.

Born on January 9, 1971, in Michigan, Thomas later moved to Dickson Tennessee where he attended school before finishing his education in McEwen. He eventually returned to the Dickson and Hickman County areas, where he spent much of his adult life and remained until his passing. Throughout the years, he built a life centered around the things he loved most: family, faith, and the little farm that brought him so much joy.

For many years, Thomas traveled the country as a truck driver, hauling loads across countless miles in the “big trucks” his family remembers so fondly. After a back injury led him to disability, he continued doing what came naturally to him-working with his hands. If something was broken, he wanted to fix it. He enjoyed taking things apart, figuring out how they worked, and putting them back together again.

In recent years, Thomas found a new passion and purpose in the farm he built. He poured his heart into caring for his goats, chickens, rabbits, and the land around him. It became his happy place. More than once, he told his daughter with a smile, “I’ll tell ya girl, I wish I had done this 30 years ago.” The farm wasn’t just a hobby; it was a reflection of the life he had grown to love.

Though he never settled into a church home, Thomas loved God deeply. He kept a Bible in his room and another in his car. He prayed faithfully and consistently, not only for himself but for others. His faith was quiet but steady, woven into the way he lived and cared for the people around him.

Above all else, Thomas loved his family.

As a father, he gave his daughter one of life’s greatest gifts: the freedom to be herself. He offered advice when he thought it was needed, but more importantly, he offered acceptance. He gave her space to grow while always reminding her that she had someone in her corner.

As a grandfather, he earned the affectionate nickname “Pawpaw Goat” from the grand children who loved visiting his farm. Nothing seemed to bring him more joy than hearing his grandchildren laugh.

While the pain of losing Thomas is profound, his family finds comfort in imagining the reunion he longed for with those who went before him-especially his beloved son, Cody Lee Robinson. Though separated for a time, their bond never faded, and that love remains a source of comfort to those left behind.

Thomas leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience, faith, family, and countless memories that will continue to be shared for generations. Though his time here was far too short, those who loved him are forever grateful for the years they were given.

He will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and carried in the hearts of all who knew him.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
