Shirley Fiser

Shirley Ann (Jones) Fiser, age 82, of Dickson, Tennessee, passed away Thursday evening, April 23, 2020 at NHC. She was born July 4, 1937 in Dickson County, a daughter of the late Earl and Beadie (Neblett) Jones. Shirley was preceded in death by her two husbands, Roy Gill and Carroll Fiser; two sons, Michael Gill & Clint Gill; her parents, three sisters: Ruth Antozicky, Willie Mae Cook and Wilma Kindred, one brother, James Jones (Mary Grace), and one brother-in-law Gill Rakipi. Shirley was born and raised in Dickson County, Tennessee. After marrying Roy, the couple moved to Detroit, Michigan where they raised their three children. Eventually, the couple returned to Dickson, and in 1974, they opened High Point Restaurant. After Roy passed, Shirley continued to own and operate the restaurant, taking care of patrons for over 40 years. As fate would have it, Shirley was reunited with Carroll Fiser, a friend from elementary school, and the couple married in 2002. They spent the majority of their days doting on their beloved dog, Shorty, until Carroll’s passing in 2016. Shirley loved socializing, cooking amazing food and making people happy. She was a kind, gentle spirit and genuine lover of people. Shirley is survived by her daughter Vicky (Danny, dec.) Outlaw of Dickson, TN and son-in-law, Mark (Sheila) Fiser of Charlotte, TN, Daughter-in-law, Mary Krasmen; 7 grandchildren: Jennifer (Steve) Begley of Michigan, Angie (Angelo) Diaz of Michigan, Clint (Natalie) Gill of Arkansas, David Outlaw of Dickson, TN and LeAnn (Jeff) Madsen of Dickson, TN, Jamie and Zachary Krasmen of Michigan; 9 great grandchildren: Devin Markowsky, Bailey Begley and Dallas Begley, all of Michigan, Jordan (Stasia) Diaz, Coty Diaz and Riley Diaz, all of Michigan, Giana Gill, Tyson Gill and Farrah Gill, all of Arkansas; one sister, Dottie Rakipi of Dickson, TN, and two brothers, Lloyd (Sharon) Jones of Michigan, and Tommy (Cathy) Neblett, of Arkansas. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and friends who will sadly miss her. A private graveside service will be held at Union Cemetery on Tuesday, April 28, 2020 at 1:00 pm with Brother Edgar Beard officiating.
