Ronald Cornelious "Ron" Worthy, age 68, passed away on June 3, 2026.
Born on February 16, 1958, Ron lived a life marked by service, dedication, faith, and love for his family. A devoted Baptist, he believed in hard work, helping others, and making the most of every day.
Ron proudly served his country in the United States Air Force for more than 20 years, retiring as a Master Sergeant. As an Aerospace Ground Equipment Superintendent, he played a vital role in supporting Air Force operations while leading and mentoring fellow Airmen. His faithful service earned him numerous military honors and commendations, including the Air Force Commendation Medal and Air Force Achievement Medal. Ron's military career reflected the qualities that defined his life—integrity, dedication, hard work, and service to others.
Following his retirement from the Air Force, Ron continued utilizing his extensive mechanical and technical skills in facility and maintenance operations, including work within the healthcare field. He earned an associate degree and was widely known as a man who could fix just about anything.
Ron enjoyed spending his time woodworking, welding, repairing vehicles, and tackling maintenance projects around the home. He took great pride in keeping things running smoothly and was always willing to lend a helping hand to family, friends, and neighbors. He also enjoyed yard work, golfing, watching sports, and relaxing with a good action movie. Country and gospel music were among his favorites, providing the soundtrack to many of life's everyday moments.
Above all else, Ron cherished his family. Whether gathered for holidays, celebrations, or simply enjoying time together, he treasured every opportunity to create memories with those he loved most. His family was his greatest source of pride and joy.
Ron will be remembered for his strong work ethic, dependable nature, servant's heart, and unwavering devotion to his family. His kindness, wisdom, and willingness to help others left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.
Though he will be deeply missed, his legacy of faith, service, integrity, and love will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
