Passed Away: on Sunday, August 09, 2026 at his residence surrounded by family.

Bobby fought a long and courageous battle with cancer. He fought hard, never gave up, and faced each day with determination. He wanted more than anything to beat that beast, but in the end, it was a battle he could not win.

Although Bobby did not overcome cancer, his strength and perseverance became an inspiration to many. He touched the lives of nurses who cared for him and people in Facebook groups who were facing the same difficult journey. Numerous people told Bobby how much he had helped and encouraged them simply by the way he lived; with determination, a smile on his face, and a willingness to make the very best of the hand he had been dealt.

Bobby found great joy in working in his garden. He especially loved raising delicious strawberries, along with tomatoes, peppers, and other vegetables. He also had a generous heart. If Bobby had something and thought someone else needed it, he would gladly give it to them.

A talented carpenter, furniture builder, and woodworker, Bobby took great pride in everything he made. He enjoyed working with his hands and creating things that would last.

Above all, Bobby loved his family and friends. His strength, generosity, loving nature, and kind spirit touched so many lives. He will be deeply missed by his family, his friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Visitation: will be on Friday, August 14, 2026 from 12:00 PM – until time of service at Spann Funeral Home.

Funeral Service: will begin at 2:00 PM on Friday, August 14, 2026 from the Chapel of Spann Funeral Home with Jerry Sensing officiating.

Interment: will follow at Wrigley Cemetery in the Wrigley Community of Hickman County.
