Peggy Sue Tummins, age 71, passed away peacefully on February 8, 2026. She was born on December 16, 1954, and lived a life centered on faith, family, and kindness.
Peggy was a devoted and longtime member of Sylvia Church of Christ. Her church family meant the world to her, and she found great joy in worship, especially in gospel music and congregational singing. For many years she faithfully served as a Sunday School teacher, gently guiding and encouraging generations of children with patience, warmth, and a sincere love for the Lord.
Above all, Peggy loved her family deeply. She especially cherished her husband and her sons, and caring for them brought her great happiness and purpose. Her home was a place of comfort, love, and steady support for those she held dear.
Outside the church, Peggy found happiness in life’s simple blessings. She had a special love for her flowers and took great pride in tending to them, always enjoying the beauty they brought to her home. She also had a tender heart for animals and cared deeply for every creature she welcomed into her life.
Peggy will be remembered as a kind and faithful woman whose life reflected her beliefs. Her gentle spirit, caring nature, and unwavering devotion to her faith and family will be treasured by all who knew and loved her. Her memory will live on in the lives she touched and in the faith she so faithfully shared.
