Michael “Mike” Douglas Baker, 67, of Dickson County, passed away peacefully on October 10, 2025.
A lifelong servant to his community, Mike dedicated many years working as an EMT, volunteer firefighter, and rescue squad member in Dickson County. His calling was simple — to help others. Whether rushing to an emergency or lending a hand to a neighbor, Mike’s selflessness and devotion made a lasting impact on countless lives.
Known for his honesty, Mike was never one to sugarcoat the truth. He believed in saying what needed to be said, but always with heart and sincerity. Those who knew him best will remember his caring spirit, strong work ethic, and his unwavering willingness to show up whenever someone needed him.
Of all the roles he held, none brought him more joy than being a husband, father, and “Papa.” His granddaughter was the light of his world, and he always looked forward to their “Papa and Livie dates.” The two shared countless adventures together — going to the movies, eating at Chick-Fil-A or finding something fun to do wherever the day took them. Those moments were his greatest joy and some of his most cherished memories.
Mike also had a simple joy in life — music. When he was working, you could often find him humming along to a tune, lost in rhythm and contentment.
Mike Baker will be remembered not only for his service, but for the warmth, honesty, and love he shared so freely. His legacy of helping others and his devotion to family will continue to shine through those he touched.
