Maudie "Christine" Gentry

Maudie “Christine” Gentry, 99, of Burns, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on October 3, 2025.

Christine lived a long and beautiful life defined by love, faith, and family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother whose strength and resilience carried her through every season of life with grace.

She was a longtime member of Burns Methodist Church and found comfort in her faith and her church family. Christine and her late husband, Melvin, shared many wonderful years together traveling all across the country, listening to music, and simply enjoying life’s moments. Their adventures and laughter together became some of her most treasured memories.

Christine took great pride in her family and her home. She was an excellent cook whose meals brought everyone together. Her special touch made every dish feel like love served on a plate.

She found great joy in spending time with her loved ones, sharing stories, laughter, and the comfort of her presence. Her strength, kindness, and devotion will live on through the family she so deeply loved.

Christine’s strength, compassion, and devotion to those she loved leave behind a lasting legacy that will be cherished for generations.
