Kenneth Gibbs, born on 4/23/1948 in Nashville, TN; passed away on November 2, 2025, leaving behind a remarkable legacy of honor, integrity, honesty, stewardship, mentoring of others, and a strong quiet faith.
He married his best friend, Janet (“Punkin” as he fondly called her) Dalton, 32 years ago.
Kenneth proudly served with valor in the United States Navy and carried that same sense of duty and discipline throughout his life.
He worked many years in the Financial Industry as a Recovery and Fraud Investigator, then transitioned into a Construction Equipment Operator, and finally retiring to enjoy his farm which he took great pride in restoring and caretaking of his “little piece of heaven on earth.”
He was extremely intelligent, loyal, mechanically gifted, driven to perfection, with strong work ethic qualities that showed in every aspect of his life, and courageous through health issues.
He is survived by beloved wife, Janet, as well as sister, Jeri Garrett, and 3 grandchildren, best friend, Tony Owens of Charlotte, close friend/cousin, Sammie (Sherry) Gibbs of Charlotte, Bill Woods of Nashville, as well as the loving faithful Dalton family.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Woodrow Wilson and Josephine Anita (Reed) Gibbs, as well as his daughter Jeri Lynn
