Jesse Lee Owens

February 20, 1948 — June 13, 2021

Jesse Lee Owens, age 73, passed away peacefully on June 13th, 2021. He was born in Bradenton, Florida, February 20, 1948. After the passing of his beloved wife Dean, he became more of a Tennessee resident because he loved the memories of the time he spent with her in their cabin home away from home, and now he is reunited with her and their pets they shared together, Foxy Lady and Buster T. He was a proud Army Veteran and loved and served his country well. He loved his family and friends. Jesse left a warm impression with everyone he met. He operated his own painting business for most of his life which he was very proud of. He was a hard worker and always on the go. He is survived by his brother, James Owens; and his sisters, Mildred Leslie; Cecelia Butler and her husband Richard; his five children: his sons: William Haines; Eddie Haines; Tommy Haines and his wife Jenny; his daughters: Vanessa Owens and her husband Michael; and Jessica Carberry; his five grandchildren: Nicholas Owens; Josh Haines; Abigail Haines; Andrew Haines; and Joseph Carberry; his adored dog Ladybug, and his many, many friends and loved ones. Rest High on that Mountain Soldier, you earned your wings. A Celebration of Life for Mr. Owens will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Friday, June 18, 2021 at the Cagle Farm (7976 Pinewood Rd. Nunneley, TN 37137)
