Heather "Cody" Ketron-Mays

Heather “Cody” Ketron-Mays, age 44, passed away on January 24, 2026, following complications from a car accident.

Heather was a force—loving, sharp-witted, creative, and deeply devoted to those she loved most. A proud and accomplished travel nurse, she spent her career caring for others, moving wherever she was needed, and leaving a lasting impression everywhere she went. Her compassion was matched by her strength, and her work reflected her belief in purpose, growth, and lessons larger than ourselves.

Above all, Heather was a devoted mother who adored her girls. She loved fiercely and unapologetically, and her role as “mom” was the one she cherished most. Her home was filled with love, laughter, sarcasm, and warmth—often accompanied by pugs, because she loved them (all flat-faced animals really) endlessly.

Heather had a creative soul. She enjoyed painting, traveling, hiking, and spending time at the beach. She recently took up baking biscuits—one more way she showed care and curiosity for life. Known affectionately as a “Project Queen,” she was always working on something, improving something, or dreaming up the next idea.

Her quick wit and unmistakable sarcasm were part of her charm, as was her love for Friends, Queen Elizabeth, and meaningful conversations about life, faith, and the unseen forces guiding us. Heather believed deeply in higher purpose, personal growth, and that every experience carried a lesson worth learning.

Heather “Cody” Ketron will be remembered as a loving mother, loyal friend, gifted caregiver, creative spirit, and a woman whose presence was both comforting and unforgettable. Her light, humor, and strength will live on through her daughters and all who were fortunate enough to know her. She may be gone from this earth, but the love she so passionately shared and her beautiful soul is forever and eternal.

Heather is survived by her three beautiful daughters, Paris (21), Jovi (14), and Marley (5), her husband Jonathan Mays of Burns, her mother Connie Moran Roseberry, of McEwen, sisters Melanie Rachford (Kerry), of McEwen, and Jessica Holt (Dustin) of Greenville TN. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Heather is preceded in death by her beloved pugs, Daisy and Pickles, her father, Larry Ketron, and her grandparents, Charles “Cotton” and Margaret Moran and Lawson “Pop” and Pearl Ketron.

May her memory live forever in the hearts of all who loved her.
