Douglas Ray “Double D” Dawson, age 83, of Dickson, TN,

Passed Away: on Saturday, August 08, 2026 at his residence surrounded by family.

Born on May 16, 1943, to the late John and Zola Dawson, Douglas was a hardworking man who enjoyed staying busy and working with his hands. He retired as a truck driver with Eubank Asphalt Paving & Sealing, where he spent many years working on road construction. Even away from work, Douglas was rarely one to sit idle. He enjoyed working on vehicles, doing construction projects, and using his hands to build and repair things. He also had a love for motorcycles and enjoyed riding whenever he had the opportunity.

Above all, Douglas cherished his family and the time spent with those he loved. He will be remembered for his hardworking nature, the life he built, and the many memories he leaves behind.

Douglas leaves behind a lifetime of memories that will be treasured by his family and all those who knew and loved him.
