Carl "Truman" Harrell

Carl “Truman” Harrell, age 81, passed away peacefully on September 10, 2025. Born October 12, 1943.

A lifelong University of Tennessee Volunteers fan, Truman rarely missed a chance to cheer on his beloved team. He found joy in the outdoors, whether traveling to the mountains, working in his yard to keep it pristine, or simply spending time grilling out with family and friends. Golf was another favorite pastime, and Truman could often be found on the course enjoying a round.

Truman’s love for sports began in his youth. A talented left-handed pitcher, he spent countless hours on the baseball field, even walking to practices just to play the game he loved.

Truman will be remembered as a hardworking man who took pride in all he did. His legacy will live on in the lives he touched and the many memories he created.

Visitation: will begin on Sunday, September 14, 2025 from 10:00 AM – until time of service at Spann Funeral Home

Funeral Service: will begin on Sunday, September 14, 2025 at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Spann Funeral Home.

Interment: will follow at Dickson County Memorial Gardens
