Carl Wayne Pettes            Age: 76

Of: Charlotte, Tn.       Passed Away: on Monday, October 30, 2023, at Tri-Star Horizon Medical Center. Carl was born on November 27, 1946, to the late George Wayne Pettes and Ozella Adams Pettes. He received a master’s degree in education from Austin Peay State University and spent his career as a History Teacher in the Dickson County School System. He was selected for the Dickson County Educators Hall of Fame, was a past member of the Dickson Lion’s Club, and was an Elder at Central Church of Christ. He touched countless lives during his years of teaching.

Visitation: with the family will be conducted on Wednesday, November 1, from 4-8 PM, and on Thursday, November 2, from 11 AM until the time of the service at Spann Funeral Home.

Funeral Service: for Carl Wayne Pettes will be conducted Thursday, November 2, 2023, at 2:00 Pm from the chapel of Spann Funeral Home with Brothers Mike Richardson and Zack Howard officiating.

Interment: will follow in Southerland Cemetery.
