Barrett Alan Krantz

Barrett Alan Krantz, age 46, passed away on September 1, 2026. Born on November 10, 1979, Barrett will be remembered as an incredibly hardworking, selfless, and generous man who was always willing to lend a hand to someone in need.

Barrett worked as a mechanic with the Dickson County Highway Department, a role well suited to his natural abilities. He was exceptionally handy and could often be found working with his hands, tinkering with something, or figuring out how things worked. Barrett was extremely intelligent and knowledgeable, and there seemed to be very little he couldn't figure out once he set his mind to it. Motivated and dependable, he took pride in working hard and doing things the right way.

More than anything, Barrett was someone who was willing to help. He was generous with his time, his knowledge, and his abilities, never hesitating to step in when someone needed him. He enjoyed talking with others and could easily find himself in a good conversation, sharing stories, knowledge, or simply enjoying the company of those around him.

Away from work, Barrett found happiness in many of life's simple pleasures. He loved listening to music and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He had a true green thumb and took great pride in his flowers and his yard, making sure everything was meticulously cared for and looking its best. He appreciated the outdoors and enjoyed watching the birds and taking in the nature around him.

Barrett's intelligence, generosity, work ethic, and willingness to help others were qualities that defined the way he lived. He leaves behind the memory of a man who worked hard, cared deeply, gave freely of himself, and found contentment in good conversation, a project to tinker with, music playing, and the beauty of the outdoors.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
