Arthur Dale Neblett, Jr.

11-14-67 – 08-21-26

Dale Neblett, age 58, of New Johnsonville passed away on August 21, 2026. Dale was known as Dad, Poppy, son, nephew, cousin, friend, Coach, and Diamond Dale.

For 34 years, Dale devoted himself to the students of Lakeview Elementary School in New Johnsonville, where being a physical education teacher was much more than a job to him; it was something he truly loved. Over the course of his career, he helped shape countless young lives through his kindness, encouragement, and genuine care for every student who came through his gym. Dale had a special way of making people feel welcome and important, and he was loved by generations of students, coworkers, athletes, and families throughout the community. His influence extended well beyond the classroom as a coach, mentor, and friend, coaching football, baseball, and basketball over the years. Dale was a kind and genuine soul who made a lasting difference in the lives of so many, and the impact he made during his 34 years at Lakeview will be felt for generations to come.

He never met a stranger. If you were sitting close to him, it is guaranteed you would be in a conversation with him. He was always ready to talk about sports, especially University of Tennessee football. In his free time, he was on the golf course enjoying the game along with spending time with many friends. His cousins will remember him for his constant efforts to win every game or challenge; even if it meant bending the rules in his favor.

The pride of his life was his children and grandchildren. He was always ready to talk about the latest and greatest in their lives and was a constant support.

He will be remembered as a Christian man full of love for his family, a man who loved sports, and a man always ready for a conversation.
