John "Johnny" C. Summers

Mr. John “Johnny” C. Summers, age: 77 Of: New Johnsonville, TN Died: Friday, September 22, 2017 at Camden Healthcare & Rehab Center in Camden. He was born September 3, 1940 in Humphreys County. Mr. Summers lived in New Johnsonville and Humphreys County for most of his life. He served in the United States Army from 1963-1965. Mr. Summers worked for TVA and retired in 1994. He was an avid animal lover and supporter of the Waverly Animal Shelter. Mr. Summers enjoyed his family, football, basketball, baseball, and even a brief stint coaching soccer. He loved being outside and could often be found walking at the park in New Johnsonville. Visitation: will be held from 4:00 – 8:00pm Monday, September 25th and from 11:00am until service time Tuesday, September 26th at Humphreys County Funeral Home. Funeral Services: for Johnny Summers will be conducted at 1:00pm Tuesday, September 26th in the Humphreys County Funeral Home Chapel. Interment: will follow in the Wyly Cemetery with Military Honors.
