Dorcie Lee Yates

Age: 91 Of: Waverly, TN Died: Thursday, June 25, 2015 at Three Rivers Hospital. Mr. Yates was a WWII Navy Veteran and member of the Waverly church of Christ. He worked as a Health Inspector for the State of Tennessee and was later inducted into the State of Tennessee Environmentalist Hall of Fame. Mr. Yates was very active with the City of Waverly and was a member of Crime Stoppers. He was a former Boy Scout Leader, one of the Founders of the Waverly Country Club and helped start the Veteran Memorial Park. Visitation: will be held from 4 – 8pm Saturday, June 27th and from 12 noon until service time Sunday, June 28th at the Humphreys County Funeral Home. Funeral Services: for Mr. Yates will be conducted at 2pm Sunday, June 28th in the Chapel of Humphreys County Funeral Home with Bro. Jeff Keele officiating. Interment: will follow in the Richlawn Cemetery.
